FAQ
What is a legal AI workflow?
A workflow is a structured, step-by-step process that guides legal tasks—such as drafting, reviewing, or analysing documents. Protégé Foundational Workflows combines your processes and your data with AI to automate and support each step.
Do I need technical skills to build workflows?
No. The platform is designed for lawyers, not developers. You can create, test, and deploy workflows using an intuitive interface based on how you already work. All your team will have access to the workflows created.
What types of documents can I create?
You can generate first drafts of contracts, clauses, policies, memos, correspondence, agreements, and more—either within workflows or on demand.
How many documents can I analyse at once?
You can upload up to 10 documents at a time for analysis, or create document vaults with up to 500 documents per matter.
How does this fit into my existing workflow?
Protégé complements your current tools and processes. It reduces the need to switch between systems by bringing drafting, analysis, and workflows into one place.
Does the AI use or learn from my documents?
No. Your data remains completely isolated. The underlying models do not train on or retain your information.
Can I rely on the accuracy of AI-generated content?
Protégé is designed to support—not replace—legal judgment. Outputs are grounded in your workflows, documents, and instructions, helping improve consistency and reduce errors. All outputs should be reviewed as part of your professional process. Foundational Workflows are not grounded in LexisNexis authorative content.
